Working at the direction of the City Manager and City Council, the City of Hurst Marketing and Communication Division serves as the central point of contact for marketing and communication activities citywide.

The Division is responsible for:

  • maintaining the City website
  • production of the Where We Live magazine
  • City of Hurst social media channels
  • media relations
  • crisis communication
  • cable channel and streaming video
  • production of the Water Quality Report
  • marketing campaigns
  • graphic design
  • advertising
  • video production
  • photography

City of Hurst passes ordinance no handheld electronic devices while drivingThe City of Hurst City Council recently passed Ordinance number 2321 restricting the use of handheld electronic devices while driving in the City of Hurst.

Drivers who use handheld electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle are at risk of losing safe control of their vehicles due to manual, visual, and cognitive distractions, and are therefore more likely to have an accident than undistracted drivers.
