Home MenuMessage from the Mayor
The Mayor and City Council would like to extend a warm welcome to every citizen. If you are new to the area, Welcome to Hurst! We are very glad you have joined our current residents to make Hurst your home, it is a great place to live and raise your family.
Hurst has a City Council that is dedicated and works hard for its citizens. The Council has adopted a strategic planning process that sets Hurst apart from most cities in Texas. They were instrumental in setting up our volunteer program that is the national model for municipal volunteer programs.
I encourage you to get to know your entire City Council, since they all serve the City at large. Give them a call anytime you need help on any issue. Additionally, I encourage you to attend one of the Council meetings. Our Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. The public is always invited to speak and we encourage your input.
Whether you are new to our city or you’re a long time resident, you will find useful up-to-date information about Hurst on our website and our social media outlets. A list of our social media outlets can be found here.
Our city staff strives to make Hurst a great city to live in, and visit! We have excellent aquatic centers, recreation facilities, amazing parks, and the best Fourth of July fireworks display in the area.
It is an honor to be on the City Council and serve the great citizens of Hurst.
Sincerely,
Henry Wilson
