Powers and Duties

The Hurst Public Facility Corporation is organized for the purpose of assisting the City in financing, refinancing, or providing public facilities as defined in and as provided in the Public Facility Corporation Act, Chapter 303, Texas Local Government Code.  The property and affairs of the Corporation shall be managed and controlled by a Board of Directors.  The duration of the Corporation is perpetual.

 

Number of Members: Seven (7)
Quorum: Majority
Terms: Each director’s term will be coterminous with their term as Mayor or as a Councilmember.  Any director shall cease to be a director at the time he or she ceases to be a member of the Governing Body.

Officers: The City Manager serves as President, the Assistant City Manager-Finance serves as Vice-President and the City Secretary serves as the Secretary.  At all meetings of the Board, the president shall preside

Term – Officers
Two years or until his or her successor is elected or appointed.  Upon expiration of the terms, each officer shall have the right to be reappointed.
