The Zoning Board of Adjustment application can be submitted electronically at hursttx.gov/css.Briefing Session: 6 p.m. at Hurst City Hall Conference Room Powers and DutiesThere is hereby created a Board of Adjustment to be composed of five (5) regular members and one (1) alternate member who shall be qualified electors of the City. It is the declared policy of the Council that it will consider and appoint only those persons who have demonstrated their civic interest, general knowledge of the community, independent judgment, and availability to prepare for and attend meetings. - Hurst Code of Ordinances, Chapter 27, Section 27-25(a) "The Board of Adjustment shall have the powers and exercise the duties of a Board in accordance with Article 1011g, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. Board Members are representatives of the City and shall have the right to inspect premises where required in the discharge of their responsibilities under the laws of the state and the ordinances of the City. The Board's jurisdiction shall extend to and include the hearing and deciding of the following types of appeals and applications and to that end shall have the necessary authority to ensure continuing compliance with its decision:
Members: Five (5) regular members; all Hurst residents, appointed by City Council. Quorum: Four (4) members. If necessary to establish a quorum, members of the Codes, Appeals, and Advisory Board will serve as alternate members of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Term: Regular Members: Two (2) years Meetings: Conducted on an "as needed" basis. Place 1
