Gary N. Waldron was elected to the Hurst City Council Place 5 on November 3, 2020. He has been a long-time resident of Hurst and graduated from L.D. Bell High School in 1985.  He attended Dallas Baptist University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration. Gary has worked for national health insurance carriers and in the brokerage community for the past 30 years.

Gary has spent several years volunteering as follows:

• 2004-2010 – Board Member for Forth Worth and Texas Association of Health Underwriters
• 2010-2013 – Hurst United Soccer Association – Team Manager
• 2011 – Hurst United Soccer Association – Board Member – Commissioner
• 2012 – Hurst United Soccer Association – Board Member – Director of Commissioners I
• 2013 – Hurst United Soccer Association – Board Member – Vice President
• 2015 – Hurst United Soccer Association – Board Member – President
• 2015 Hurst 101 Graduate
• 2014-2017 – Service to the City of Hurst on various Boards and Commissions
• 2017-2020 – Parks and Recreation Board – serving as Vice Chair when elected
• Consistent attendance at City Council meetings since 2014
