VIA Volunteer Handbook

All interested volunteers are encouraged to review the Volunteer Handbook before they apply. The handbook outlines our mission and vision, policies and procedures, volunteer conduct, and performance expectations. As part of the orientation process, all volunteers will be required to sign a memo of understanding, acknowledging that they have reviewed and agree to the program’s policies and rules. Next Steps:

1. Application Review: The VIA Program Manager will review your application and your preferred area of service.
2. Matching Process: The VIA Program Manager will forward your application to the coordinating department. If a suitable match is found, the applicant will undergo a background check.
3. Discussion of Details: After a background check, the department will discuss your schedule and workload with you directly.
