The City of Hurst operates under the 2021 International Codes as adopted and published by the International Code Council.  The Hurst City Council approves all additions, deletions, and amendments as recommended by the North Texas Council of Governments Fire and Building Advisory Boards, which represents 16 counties within the surrounding area. The adopted Ordinances for the City of Hurst, pertaining to the Hurst Fire Department can be found in Chapter 8.
