The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for the engineering, civil construction, floodplain and erosion control activities for the City. This Division reviews and prepares construction plans, issues permits for work within the public right-of-way, and inspects new construction. Staff oversees city infrastructure project design and construction. Our goal is to complete quality construction projects within budgeted cost and on schedule.

The Engineering Division also reviews and prepares long-range capital planning for infrastructure. The Geographic Information System (GIS) staff within the Engineering Division maintain the City's maps and analyze spatial data.
