The City of Hurst Wastewater Division is directly responsible for the health and welfare of the citizens and customers of Hurst by providing sufficient wastewater collection services and is accomplished by minimizing wastewater system interruptions while maintaining and improving the integrity of the infrastructure.
The City of Hurst Wastewater Division continually strives to improve the wastewater collection system by utilizing trained, knowledgeable personnel who provide the highest level of customer service as well as system maintenance and repair operations.
The current service levels for this division include:
- The maintenance, repair and servicing of approximately 155 miles of wastewater collection lines
- The maintenance, repair and servicing of 2,932 sanitary sewer manholes
- Compliance with all applicable City, State and Federal rules and regulations governing publicly owned wastewater collection systems.
- Inspection and evaluation of the collection system infrastructure to identify replacement and rehabilitation needs.
