We're thrilled to announce our drop-in interview sessions, starting February 7, 2025 and continuing every Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Hurst Recreation Center. Drop-In Interviews offer an open invitation to all individuals seeking employment opportunities, providing an opportunity for an interview without the need for a scheduled appointment. At Hurst Aquatics, you're welcome to arrive unannounced, inquire about available positions, and engage directly with our hiring manager. No prior applications are necessary! Just come by, explore the roles you're interested in, and have your interview right on the spot.

Lifeguard - $12.50/hr

Join our award-winning lifeguard Team! This opportunity is great for those who love the outside, interact with people, and learn new skills. No need to pay for an expensive certification; we have you covered. We train and certify our staff in-house, free of charge, through Ellis and Associates. Applicants for this position must be 15 years of age by May 23, 2025.

 

All Lifeguard applicants MUST be able to attend one full lifeguard training class:

The lifeguard class teaches you how to prevent and respond to water emergencies effectively. You will leave the class confident in your ability to react in various scenarios.

• March 6-9
• April 24-27
• May 1-4
• May 8-11

Swim Lesson Instructor - $12.50/hr

Do you love teaching and working with kids? This is the job for you! As a Swim Lesson Instructor, you are responsible for planning and teaching swim lessons for various ages and skill levels. Don't worry; no experience is required. We will train you in-house, free of charge! However, we do recommend that you are a strong swimmer. Applicants for this position must be 16 years of age by May 23, 2025.

Aquatics Facility Attendant - $11.00/hr

Our Pool Attendants are the backbone of Hurst Aquatics! They are always on the lookout for ways to improve our park and offer excellent customer service. Pool Attendants are in charge of slide dispatch and help maintain the cleanliness of our park through tasks such as picking up trash and straightening furniture. If you like working with your hands and aren't afraid of a little hard work, then this job is for you! Applicants for this position must be at least 16 years of age by May 23, 2025.

Pool Cashier - $10.50/hr

Our Pool Cashiers are the face of the Hurst Aquatics Centers! Cashiers handle admission fees, are knowledgeable about all park rules, and have great customer service when interacting with guests, both in-person and on the phone. Applicants for this position must be outgoing, friendly and communicate well. We want to provide our guests with an experience that exceeds all expectations, and that begins at the front gate! Applicants for this position must be at least 16 years of age by May 23, 2025.

Head Lifeguard - $13.50/hr 

Our Head Lifeguards are our leading examples at the aquatic centers. They work to ensure the safety of our facility by evaluating lifeguard scanning and performing operational safety audits. They also care for lifeguards by ensuring they have everything they need to do their job well. Head Lifeguards are a part of our leadership team and help to create a positive and fun culture for all staff. Head Lifeguards are expected to work lifeguard shifts and Head Lifeguard shifts. Applicants for this position must be at least 16 years of age by May 23, 2025.
